Written update of Maddie's accomplishments

Maddie's 1 year appointment went great. She was 25 lb 7 oz and 31.25 inches tall. She's slowed down in growth tremendously. My little pork chop is thinning out and I'll be sad to say goodbye to her little potbelly when it disappears.
She took her first steps two days before her birthday and starting last week is now walking full time. She's completely on whole milk now and we're working on staying goodbye to the bottle. She says mama, mommy, dada, daddy, doggy, duckie, hi, bye, and yea now. She tries to comb her hair when I hand her her comb.
She got lots of great presents for her birthday including a wagon, a PBK anywhere chair, walking toy and lots of clothes for the fall. She understands no now, but in typically toddler style does not listen when she doesn't want to. We've started only giving her the paci for naps and bedtime and she doesn't even seem to notice.
She's becoming quite the drama queen and there's alot of crying and whining when she doesn't get what she wants. No suprise there. It's cute and funny actually.

1 year pictures!

We got our pictures taken on Saturday by Heather Bradshaw. I work with Heather and for photography being her part time profession, she is amazing at what she does!
This is her website: http://simplylifephotography-byheather.com/default.aspx
This is a slide show of many of the pictures she took. It is very long! I love them all!

I love my little girl

Maddie is going to be 1 in about a week. I can't believe how time flies. She seems to be this close to walking. She can walk assisted with one of us holding just one of her hands. She mastered the sippy cup and seems to really like the whole milk she's been getting with dinner.
Her 1 year appointment is August 8th so we'll see how much she weighs in at. I think she's slowed down alot in growing. She has four teeth on the top, two more on their way in. She still only has two on the bottom. This month she finally said mommy and I'm so excited!
She's eating alot more finger foods and still a fair amount of purees. We'll be transitioning off formula and the bottle in the very near future. I can't believe how big my little girl has grown. This year flew by. Here are some recent pictures of her.

She still loves the remote.

Where to start... Maddie is growing and becoming more of a little girl and less of a baby ever day. She loves to give high fives and play pat-a-cake. She cruises around on furniture and even is letting go for 20 seconds and standing on her own. She throws her arms around DJ and I to give us hugs and for us not to let her go. We started swim lessons a couple weeks ago which she absolutely loves. She was apprehensive for all of 5 minutes and now struggles to get away from me and be on her own. I don't let her go of course. She loves to go for runs with me in her jogging stroller.
